SPPS remains committed to ongoing community feedback around future budget decisions.

Fall Engagement:

Budget surveys were sent to SPPS families, staff and students in grades 6-12 between December 11, 2025-January 16, 2026. Families and staff were also invited to a Community Budget Meeting on December 11, with a presentation on the budget process followed by small-group discussions. More than 6,000 parents/guardians, staff and secondary students participated in these engagement opportunities to help determine community budget priorities.

Spring Engagement:

SPPS families and staff are invited to an in-person District Community Budget Meeting on Tuesday, April 28, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Como Park Senior High School (740 Rose Ave. W.). This meeting will include a presentation about the budget and how budget decisions are made. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the budget and budget process. The meeting will be held in English, Hmong, Karen, Spanish and Somali. 

Stakeholders are encouraged to submit feedback using the budget feedback form and are also welcome to sign up for public comment at the monthly Board of Education meetings. Individual schools will also engage with their school communities about their school's budget; please look for more information from your child's school(s).
